Thanks for sharing. I have been there with the repeated panic attacks, a living hell. So scary. I thought I was. This was 6 years ago when I was in Perimenopause no one really tells how dropping (crashing) estrogen can affect so many things.
Thank you so much! Coming from another fellow teacher that means a lot. I think people expect yoga teachers to be zen and some of us suffer from debilitating anxiety. Getting help was the best I could do.
Yoga at its essence is a practice to reduce suffering, mentally and (more in modern times) physically. I have found in decades of practice that many people are there precisely because they are struggling. In yoga circles in particular, your situation is not uncommon. So it is especially important and brave for you to be forthcoming. I took years off teaching due to postpartum anxiety as well as a litany of physical ailments and being slammed with caregiving responsibilities. All of this is connected. Lots of love to you.
Everything has been getting worse after my hysterectomy, doctors keep saying that it doesn’t have anything to do with it but I don’t really believe it. I’m giving myself grace right now and taking it slow

It’s been so tough
I'm so sorry. It’s very real. Sending hugs.
Thank you! Sending a hug back because we all need one.
Thanks so much.
Thank you for your incredible bravery and honesty in sharing such a personal journey!
You have reminded us all that choosing yourself and asking for help is an act of true strength.
Thank you reading 🙏 I want people to know that it’s okay to ask for help and that mental health is important. This subject can be such a taboo
I agree! I used to live in Japan but talking about mental health is a taboo but talking about is so important.
Thank you for your bravery both in getting help and in sharing, and for this beautiful practice. Sending you love and healing energy. 💗
